We have had an interesting winter. I don’t think the snow has been as heavy as in other years, but it sure has been persistent. I think we should all be congratulated for our efforts to keep at in through the subzero days of snow and ice.
OK, it is not here yet, but if I scream it loud enough -- maybe we will get some spring like weather? Let’s hope it doesn’t jump straight to summer’s heat and humidity…
As we move into spring racing season – it is time to put those winter miles to use. On that note, we had the first USATFMN Team Circuit race of the year on March 10 and it was great to have full teams for both genders! Keep showing up Northstars!
For those of you following the Northstar training plans, please be sure to reach out to Brian or me if you need any tweaks to make it work best for you.
Some of you have upcoming goal races nationally and internationally (Boston, Big Sur, Washington and Mississauga off the top of my head). We look forward to celebrating your efforts and hearing all about the races from you on runs with you in the future.
Good things take time, as they should. We shouldn’t expect good things to happen overnight. Actually, getting something too easily or too soon can cheapen the outcome. - John Wooden
